An inherited piece
A grandmother's ring, a great-aunt's brooch - stones with sentiment but a setting from another era. The stone becomes something you will actually wear.
Jewellery Remodelling.
A piece you inherited and never wear. A ring that no longer fits your style. Stones with a story but a setting that has lost the plot. We remodel jewellery into pieces you will actually reach for - working with what you already have wherever we can.

A grandmother's ring, a great-aunt's brooch - stones with sentiment but a setting from another era. The stone becomes something you will actually wear.
Engagement rings from a previous chapter. Eternity bands that no longer fit. Pieces that were beautiful in their moment but do not suit your hand now.
A simple band you would like to dress up. An old solitaire claw setting that you would like to set with a halo. Sometimes a small change makes the piece feel new.
Bring the piece (or pieces) and your thoughts about what you would like it to become. Half the time we work it out together at the bench.
We assess the stones, the metal, and what is worth keeping. Some pieces hold up; others have stones worth saving in metal that is best melted down and reused.
We sketch options, often three or four directions on paper. You decide which way to go. We move to digital render or wax model for final approval before any cutting begins.
Your old metal is melted down and used wherever possible. The piece is made at our bench, polished, and returned to you wrapped in tissue paper and boxed.
Using your own gold.
Where we can, we melt down your old gold and re-smelt it into your new piece. That is often the most sentimental thing about a remodel - the actual metal carries through. We are honest about the limits: gold that is heavily alloyed or has been worked many times may not pour cleanly.
Stones we usually keep as they are. If a stone needs re-polishing or re-cutting to suit the new design, we will quote it separately and never proceed without permission.
Old jewellery, new life.
A remodel usually costs between $1,800 and $6,000, depending on complexity. Your old gold is valued at the day's gold price and credited toward the cost.
