Jewellery Repairs.
From a snapped chain to a re-tipped claw, most jewellery repairs happen at our Rose Bay bench. Assessments are always free. Quotes are honest. If the repair will cost more than the piece is worth, we will tell you that, too.
Section I - What we fix
At the bench.
Rings
Resizing up or down, re-tipping worn claws, replacing missing claws, repairing split shanks, re-shaping bent shanks.
Stones & settings
Re-setting loose stones, replacing lost stones (where the original can be matched), tightening pavé, restoring bezel settings.
Earrings
Replacing posts, butterflies, hooks and clip mechanisms. Converting between styles (post to clip and back).
Watches & cufflinks
Battery changes, strap replacements, repairing bent or broken cufflink fittings, fitting new T-bars.
Restoration
Re-finishing pieces that have been polished too many times, rebuilding worn settings, restoring antique pieces back to wearable condition.
Section II - When it leaves the bench
Specialists, when needed.
A small number of repairs go to long-trusted specialists - hand-engraving, laser welding of certain antique pieces, prestige watch servicing. We do not mark up specialist work beyond the cost of moving it back and forth. The piece stays insured while it is out of our hands, and the timeline gets set up front.

Assessment
Walk in or book a 20-minute slot. We look at the piece under the loupe and write a quote.

Quote
Costs and timeline in writing. No work begins until you say yes. Most simple repairs are under $150.

At the bench
Repair is done in-house, photographed before and after, and tested. Stones get re-set with new tip work where claws have worn.
04
Collection
You pick it up and try it on. If anything is not right, it goes back to the bench on the spot. Twelve-month aftercare on every repair.
