Whether you're planning an engagement ring, marking an anniversary, or reimagining a piece from your grandmother's box, the process is the same. A conversation, a design, a finished piece. Never rushed, with most steps handled in-house at our Rose Bay bench.
How a custom piece happens.
A quiet conversation in our Rose Bay studio. We listen first - stones you love, pieces you already wear, the occasion behind it. Budget is set in the open, never assumed.
Hand sketches, digital renders, or a wax model - whichever suits the piece. Our designers work up options and bring them back for your review. Revisions are expected, not charged.
You review the design and give it the go-ahead - on screen, on paper, or as a wax model. These days many pieces are approved from a digital render; for others we bring you in to try the wax. Either way, no piece moves to the bench without your sign-off.
Your approved design is brought to life - handmade at the bench, wax-carved and cast, or built from CAD, depending on what the piece calls for. Setting, polishing and engraving follow in-house, with hand-engraving and specialist watch work going to long-trusted partners. You collect it wrapped in tissue paper and boxed, with an aftercare card.

What does a custom piece cost?
Most commissions sit between $2,000 and $20,000 depending on metal, stones, and complexity. We set a clear budget in the first conversation and never move past it without asking.
Can I use my own stones or gold?
Yes - we reset, repurpose, and re-smelt constantly. Bring the box. We'll look at it together and tell you honestly what's worth keeping.
How long does it take?
Most pieces take two to four weeks from first consult to collection. If you have a date in mind, tell us at the start - we can almost always make it work.
Do you ship outside Sydney?
Absolutely. Consults happen over video, sketches go by post, and finished pieces ship insured anywhere in Australia (and most places beyond).
