Estate Jewellery
Section I

What we look for.

Quality of stones, integrity of construction, and a design that's earned its place over time. We buy pieces from estates, deceased estates, and private clients who want them placed somewhere they'll be worn again. Most pieces in our estate collection are between thirty and a hundred years old.

Every piece is assessed at our bench, restored where needed, and resized or repaired before it goes on display. We don't sell anything we wouldn't recommend to a friend.

Section II - Selling to us

Have a piece to sell?

Step 01

Bring it in

Walk in during trading hours or book a 20-minute appointment. We will assess any piece, with no obligation to sell.

Step 02

Honest valuation

We will tell you what the piece is, what it is worth as a stone, what it is worth as a piece, and what we would offer. If selling at auction is the better path, we will say so.

Step 03

Offer or consignment

We buy outright where it suits both sides. We also take pieces on consignment, where you receive a share when the piece sells. Both options come in writing.

FAQ

Questions we hear often.

Are estate pieces guaranteed?

Yes. Every estate piece we sell is assessed, restored where needed, and comes with our standard aftercare. If anything we have set or sized lets go in the first 12 months, we put it right at no cost.

Where do the pieces come from?

From estates, private clients selling pieces they no longer wear, and the occasional auction lot. We only buy pieces with clear provenance. We hold a NSW secondhand goods dealer's licence.

Can I resize an estate piece?

Most of the time, yes. We assess the piece first - some delicate antique settings can be resized only within narrow limits without affecting the design. We will be honest about the trade-offs.

Do you take pieces on consignment?

Yes. If we agree your piece is right for the shop and would sell at a price you're happy with, we'll take it on consignment. Terms are written and the piece is insured while it's with us.
